Kalanchoe

  • Description

Kalanchoe is a group of exotic succulents prized for their unique foliage and flowers. They come in a wide range of shades from glaucous pastels to splashy jewel tones. These long-lasting, blooming plants will brighten up both your garden and home with their cheery clusters of blooms.

  • Care Information

Kalanchoes need plenty of light to bloom. Place your potted plant close to a sunny window. Keep plant warm; temperatures between 55-80 degrees °F is ideal. Plant in well-drained, well-aerated soil. It cannot tolerate cold temperatures. Avoid placing plants near drafts or cool windowsills. Like other succulents, kalanchoes do not need much water. Allow the soil to dry out in between waterings. Do not over water, as the roots can be prone to rot. Pinch back or deadhead flowers to encourage more blooms. After deadheading, give the plant a break and reduce watering.
